International artists were invited to reside in the XIV th century Franciscan hermitage of Santa Maria Maddalena, situated in Monteluco (Spoleto, Italy).

The house owned by Lorenzo and Marilena Bonomo, has been a vibrant meeting place for artists since the 1970s hosting the works of Sol Lewitt and Mel Bochner among others. Over the past ten years, Alessandra Bonomo continued organizing residencies for international artists such as Harry Adams, Barry McGee and Graeme Todd.

During the one-month residency program artists were provided with studio space and challenged to make new works responding to the environment.
